My Fiance and I were looking for a decent hotel in Buenos Aires. Thank God we were recommended by a group of friends (that had gone last winter) to stay at the Urban Suites Recoleta. We found the hotel to be conveniantly located between restaurants and shops. Especially on the weekends when the beautiful park down the block has an artesenal fair. We never had a bad meal in any of the restaurants. (My mouth actually waters everytime I think about those big juicy steaks!) After dinner you can catch a movie at the theatre nearby or you can watch people dance tango on the sidewalk or just have a cocktail at any of the many locations that close very late. The rooms are beautiful and very modern. (Kind of a European feel) We stayed in a Superior Suite which was very comfortable and extremely clean.(You could eat off the floor) The staff in the hotel was very pleasant to deal with. All in All, this was one of our best experiences ever in a hotel. Whether you are looking to party hard or just spice up that romanticism with your intimate one, I recommend UrbanSuites. Beautiful and new hotel. Great located. You will find restaurantes, pubs, and discos just walking a few blocks. Rooms are exceptionally clean and they have beautiful view. We stayed in a high floor with river view and you can't believe that you are in a so centric area. We spend a beautiful stayed with helpful staff and as they are young they can give good advices for going out. New hotel, great location in heart of Recoleta; ours was in the front of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the Recoleta Cemetary. Room was exceptionally clean. Wonderful, helpful staff. Rate includes a so-so breakfast. One downside - there is a disco next door and we could hear the bass vibes through the walls until maybe 6 am - not enough to impact my sleep but may affect some. Due to a very busy New Years in Buenos Aires we were lucky to find this recently opened hotel. The previous reviews have summed up the strengths and weaknesses quite well. We now know that floors 5-8 do not share a wall with the disco next door. Also there are some rooms on the lower floors that do not share "this disco wall" and are bit quieter during normal sleep hours (11-7). However if you are staying in Buenos Aires and choose to participate in the very active nightlife then this is the place for you. Housekeeping generally came in the early afternoon so if you roll in after partying all night you will sleep very well indeed. The young staff are friendly and helpful but English is limited. Staff is well aware of the the guests' sleepless nights. We asked whether sound proofing had been considered and they said "no." In fact the staff was asked to stay in the hotel two weeks prior to its opening. We were told this would help management/owners work out "the problems." Hmmmm.... The location as mentioned before is fabulous w/restaurants aplenty just outside the door. The view from the rooftop deck is unbelievable and the cemetery is just across the street. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again, but close to the roof.
