No more comments than congratulations for the service and efficiency of your kind staff. This is an example how the staff can make the diference.
From now on I`ll be back any time I have to visit Buenos Aires.
It`s a MUST HOTEL !!!
A very nice hotel in a good location. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast had a huge selection and was very good.
There is not much in the immediate neighborhood, but Puerto Madero is only about a 10 minute walk, if that. It is also close to Plaza de Mayo. A very good restaruant in the area is El Establo (Paraguay 489). Local place where you get huge slabs of meat.
Arriving on my birthday, it was mildly disappointing to find that we couldn't have the exact rooms we'd booked (one twin room for our older teenage kids and a king for us) - but the pleasant check-in clerk assured us we could have the correct configuration the following morning - promising to move all our things for us so we wouldn't have to bother.
So we had two "twin" rooms, next to each other on one of the executive floors. A very helpful bellhop explained all the features of the rooms (lots of buttons) including altering the A/C.
The "twin" beds were very comfortable queen size, with nice linens and pillows.
The breakfast room is pleasant, with a good seleciton of hot and cold buffet style - my daughter recommends the sausage, which is one of the best she's had in South America. There is also a nice range of sugar-free breads and pastries for those who want them. When the kids didn't want coffee, hot chocolate was immediately offered and made for them. They say it was fantastic. Each morning afterwards, the waiter simply asked if they wanted it and brought it swiftly. No fuss, just super, friendly service.
It was raining torrentially, and we asked the front desk to call a taxi for us. They said that none of the services was answering because they were so busy in the rain. Immediately, one of the desk clerks grabbed an umbrella, dashed out into the storm, arriving back ten minutes or more later in a cab he'd managed to flag down for us!
The hotel is fairly new, nicely appointed, but what really made the stay for us was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. When my husband found a button missing from his jacket, he called to the seamstress who picked it up, said, "Back in a few minutes", and actually was! With the button on and the jacket freshly pressed.
Certainly in South America, this was one of the most pleasant hotels we have been to in terms of their efficiency, cleanliness, helpfulness and friendliness - without being in your face.
It's in a dingy side street, but many hotels in Buenos Aires seem to be. The location is great for the shopping areas and for Puerto Madero.
We will definitely return there whenever we visit BA.
Staying at the convenient and chic Regal Pacific was a smart traveling decision. It was 3 blocks from the Galleria Pacificos shopping center and Calle Florida, walking distance to Puerto madero restaurants where we ate a few dinners. The hotel is highly secured, not a big-chained hotel, high quality breakfast buffet and good dinners.
