Stayed here for 2 nights while touring Argentina. The hotel was great and the staff spoke excellent English. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Stayed at the Las Americas hotel on Libertaad. The location was really close to Santa Fe Avenue, which had lots of life and atmosphere. Hotel staff were realy helpful. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a VJV tour of South America.
This is a solid hotel with no problems. Rooms, staff, breakfast, location are all fine. Top end 3 possibly 4star hotel.
I really enjoyed this hotel. This was my second visit to BA and the hotel where I stayed last time left a lot to be desired. So I was very happy with Hotel de las Americas. The room was clean and spacious enough for me and my roommate to put our luggage and move around comfortably. The bathroom (which is a major thing for me) was a little small, but clean.
The staff during our stay was great. The people at the front desk were so friendly, as well as the bell staff. They remembered our names and always opened the front door for us as we left or came back in.
Another memorable experience was when we needed an iron. They didn't have them, but the housekeeper asked us what we needed to be ironed and offered to do it for us. So we asked her what the charge was and she said, there was no charge at all. How sweet!
The location was also wonderful!! I was close to my one of my favorite shopping streets, Santa Fe. It was easy to walk to a lot of attractions and good restaurants.
I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.
I highly recommend staying at the Hotel de las Americas. It is definitely a great value and the service is excellent, with the small exception of a couple of people at the front desk on the day shift who were rather indifferent, if not rude. Breakfast is included, and it's not just toast and cereal. They have eggs and little sausages (similar to the ones at our hotel in Montevideo), fruit, cereal, several breads... good buffet. The rooms were very clean and quite nice, perhaps the curtains, chair, and comforters could use updating but all were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent, someone mentioned it's not in Recolleta which is true but it's very central to everything and not quite in Retiro either. We loved Buenos Aires and this is a great hotel to stay at.
