Buenos Aires - Argentina
725 Buenos Aires, the new and vanguard 5 star hotel, has been conceived as a prototype of what hotels will become in this new century. As a result of the renovation of a building constructed in 1923 by Arch. Alejandro Bustillo, 725 Buenos Aires is the ideal choice for executives who need to work within their rooms as well as for travellers who await to meet the most innovative in lodging and gastronomy. Designs by Philippe Starck, fine art work of well-known local artists and furniture of known modern architects give personality to every environment, creating spaces full of color and rich in sensations.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week in Buenos Aires, March 2 thru March 9, 2007 and stayed at the 725 which we enjoyed very much. The only glitch when we checked into our room was the bathroom which we found was a tad too small, but we were quickly switched to another room which was very adequate, indeed! Mostly pros for this hotel: it bills itself as a modern boutique hotel, and succeeds quite nicely, rooms spacious enough with nice linens; location is excellent if you fancy one right in the heart of the city; breakfasts (included in the rate) are first class - couldn't get enough of the liquid yogourt; fashionable lobby; helpful staff overall; an unbeatable rooftop pool and sunning area. What more do you really need? We even ate one night at the restaurant and had an outstanding meal.
While the rate was a tad on the high side, I still would highly recommend the 725 for someone looking for a boutique type hotel in the downtown core.
