COPAHUE - CAVIAHUE

The beauty of the Pehuén Forest

Caviahue is situated in the northwest of Neuquén province, beside the multi-coloured lake of the same name, at 1,600 m.a.s.l. 

During the winter, the mountain and pehuen´s forests, which sorround the place, are covered with snow that is much visited by tourists. The combination of the special trees, the basaltic soil and the amazing colour or the lake make it a unique place to explore. The zone is plenty of rivulets, cascades and lagoones. 

Copahue is situated fifteen km from Caviahue, at the foot of Copahue volcano (2,917 m). 

This is a volcanic region and Copahue Termas is enclosed in a gigantic amphitheatre formed by mountain walls, with an opening to the east. I

It is a well known area due to its thermal baths, which are open from November and until the first snow. Copahue receives the tourists who come here to enjoy its sulfurous natural water that are very much appreciated for their headling properties.
